Cheat on Your Diet
Weight reduction is a tricky job. You really have to modify your whole approach to life around and be galvanized to stick to your intention in order to get results. You also need to be patient, which many of us find challenging when we are hungry. Unfortunately, results don’t happen overnite. And you have to be cautious not too eat too little or too much-either way you might screw up your metabolism and finish up spending an entire bunch of time and effort for no payoff.
I remember stepping on the scale lots of times and noticing no change after weeks had gone by. I puzzled how this may be when I was eating so much less and being so stern about what I was eating. I told myself, I already know the way to maintain this weight and eat what I want, so if that’s's all I’m going to do, why continue beating myself down for the same results? What I discovered was I was eating not enough. My body was storing everything I was eating thinking it was starving to death.
So, my recommendation is to cheat on your diet. Seriously. Cheat on your diet. Only do it in a controlled way. Put aside a couple meals a week, or a “free” meal and a “free” pudding every week, or whatever works for you to have your fave meal, dessert, or whatever you are craving. It’ll keep you sane, and help you stick to your diet because you’ll have this day to look forward to again, and also it will stop your body from doing the precise opposite of what you want it to do.
